| Fisher's Gate (at the North entrance of the Five Hundred) was formerly called Fidge's or Fidget's Farm. The house and gardens were greatly altered by one of the estate stewards (Mr Alfred Gregory) [in the 1870s] and since then more rooms have been added to the house and the garden has been enlarged. | |||||
