1902HistoryHam FarmSutton's Historical Notes
Hamme Court appears to have been a house of some importance years ago. In 1398 Robert Reade, Bishop of Chichester, granted a licence to Gilbert Hamme and Margaret, his wife, to have mass and other divine services performed in the oratory of their house at Withyham.
